Ivy Farmhouse Winter Autumn Winter 2023/4

Welcome to Ivy Farmhouse, please use the information guidebook in the kitchen and access the website www.ivyfarmhouse.co.uk , which is updated regularly.

Accidents happen, as the house is very busy this year, please report any breakages or issues either via the maintenance book or by calling Norfolk Cottages.  This allows us to keep the house in the best condition for our next guests.  The Aga is available, if used please turn it off when leaving the property at the end of your holiday. (Lighting instructions on the inside of the door beneath the Aga logo)

We have had new carpets fitted in the lounge and dining room; they are wipeable with cleaning products in the utility cupboard.

The house has been decorated for Christmas and we have put battery powered themed lights around the house.  The tree lights are on a timer and will come on at 8am until 11pm. The lights can be manually turned off by using the green illuminated button on the top of the Wi-Fi plug adapter. Please do not turn off by the wall switch as this allows us to remotely control the lights when the house is unoccupied.  The outside lights are also on a Wi-Fi timer and will come on to coincide with the ‘village switch-on’ on the 26th November.

Unfortunately, due to the fire protection regulations naked candles are not permitted (including tea lights).

The log burner is available with the tools and a small supply of logs in the garage. Further supplies can be found at the shop on the junction with the High Street and Beach Road. Please clean the burner ready for the next guests if used, any hot embers should be placed in the metal bin also found in the garage.

Please do not unplug the Bose speakers,  if powered down they will occasionally lose the wifi connection and not work.

Bin collection day has changed, recycling (Green) is now on a Tuesday. Black remains on a Monday. Brown, every 2 weeks on a Friday.  The brown bin should be unobstructed and visible to the High Street.

We appreciate that guests may be using the house for birthdays etc. Please can you avoid using blutak or tape on the walls for banners. Thank you for your co-operation.

Enjoy Your Stay
